For once, Centrelink came through for me. Instead of having to borrow money from people to eat, I now have enough money til next pay day…..just
But on the other hand, I now need to fill out and hand in a “relationship status” form because I have a new housemate. Makes no sense, but I’m not going to bite the hand that feeds…..very occasionally
I moved to a new house recently and needed to borrow money to pay the bond. My old agents are being slow with returning our bond, so that money hasn’t come through yet. I saw my scholarship should come through this week from Centrelink, so I was happy. Money for food, and money for bond loan.
But no, Centrelink are pricks. Apparently I worked too much last week and it has been pushed back til next fortnight. And it goes back further if I work again. So now I am a week away from pay day, running low on funds, still owing money for bond, and my next rent payment is getting closer and closer!! FUCK!!
Why are Centrelink such dicks!?!?!? They’re all “Here is money to support you while you study”. That’s great Centrelink, but it isn’t enough money to cover my rent, let alone rent AND food. So I get a job, and they go “Oh, you’re working? Then no payment for you!”. Suddenly, my pay isn’t enough to cover everything either. So now I am working 3 jobs, failing uni, not sleeping, and having to deal with the fucks at Centrelink. GAHHHHH!!!!!!!
I just worked 54 hours this week. Centrelink are not going to like this….
And so Centrelink continue their campaign of giving me useless payments….
